Aunt Betty's Pet Trust
by sarina methot - Thursday, 21 February 2008, 01:55 AM
Anyone in the world

By Glenn Dahlke My Aunt Bettys closest companions have always been her cats. Ever since I was a boy, my family never traveled to the Midwest to visit just Betty. It was always Betty and Roscoe or Betty and Fluffy. Shes always loved those feline friends and, as age crept up on her, she started to speculate what would become of them upon her eventual demise. Apparently Betty thought this was a concern of mine as well because over the weekend I received a telephone call to say all was taken care of - a Pet Trust has just been signed. Doris Duke, the tobacco heiress, was one of the first to set up such a trust when she left $100,000 to Rodeo, her Shar-Pei. Others followed, but courts often frowned on their validity because the trust was not based on a human life. This changed in 1993 when a number of states starting adopting model legislation drafted by the Uniform Probate Code, which allowed trusts to continue for a pets lifetime. Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah and Wisconsin all allow some form of pet trust. You can have the trust take effect whenever you're unable to care for your pets, usually upon death or disability. Like other trusts, you fund the instrument with enough assets to take care of your pets for their expected lifetime. As a general rule, the amount should not be "excessive." A trustee is appointed to oversee and distribute the assets. A caregiver is also appointed to physically take possession and care for your pets. If you don't know a trustee or caregiver, check with the local humane society or other animal organization in your area. Many of these organizations have programs set up to assist in this matter. Pet Trusts do not come without some concerns. It is important to understand that while trusts can be set up for pets, leaving property to an animal via a will is still not recognized. If a pet is very young, you might also run across the "rule against perpetuities," which forbids a trust going on forever. This shouldn't be a problem with a 13 year old dog, but what if you die with a 3 year old tortoise? Recently, a tortoise died in India that was estimated to be 255 years old. Adwaitya (the tortoises name) could have wracked legal havoc with a trust. Aunt Betty is lucky enough to live in a state that allows trusts but, even if she didn't, some alternative plans are possible. Leaving her pet (and money to take care of it) to an individual willing to love Fluffy is one of them. As with any kind of estate planning, a competent attorney should be used who has some experience in this area. If it's important to you that Fido continues on the gravy train even after you've ridden your last train, then a Pet Trust is something to look into. Now if I could only learn to meow and lick myself clean, maybe Betty would set up a trust for me. Don't Shy Away From the Limelight
by sarina methot - Tuesday, 19 February 2008, 10:30 AM
Anyone in the world

By Linda Hansen Visibility is the first step in building a solid reputation. Consumers that see your name displayed somewhere are more likely to use your product than if theyd never heard of you. So step out, let your voice be heard, and display yourself for all to see. Becoming visible is something every business strives to do. Visibility is the principal idea behind advertising and promotion. By publicizing your name, more interest in your business will be generated, which can lead to more contacts that will equal more sales. The important thing is that when people see your name displayed they have a positive association with it. For small businesses this will probably be from third party endorsement, the most effective type of advertising. Third party endorsement comes from consumers that have had a positive experience with your product. The old saying the customer is always right, comes from this. Even if the customer isnt right, you must always try to make them happy because they can affect potential business. Positive reviews of your product or service works as free advertising and will be more effective because of its credibility. Consumers are more likely to believe another person as opposed to the best advertising campaign that money can buy. Theyre also more likely to tell more people if theyve encountered a negative experience. Positive third party endorsement will likely come from a good experience with a product or service and people respond to that. It can greatly impact your brand image and make you more attractive to potential buyers. How do you become visible? Weve already talked about the importance of third-party credibility. When prospects hear your name, they should think of you and know youre good at what you do. If they dont, make sure you know why and try to change their opinion by associating yourself with something positive. A great way to do this is by getting involved with local charities or foundations. There is nothing more positive than community service. This will speak to those prospects and let them know you donate time or money to help those less fortunate. Associating with these organizations also makes you even more visible to your prospects. It can serve as another place for them to be exposed to your name and your message. As visibility grows and people are starting to sample your product, your business becomes more memorable. People will remember your name and develop product loyalty. Not only will they be loyal to the product they used, but they will be more likely to try other products with your brand because of your positive brand image. The final aspect of visibility is developing an identity. When people see you logo or name displayed somewhere, they should know what youre about. A good example of this would be McDonalds use of the golden arches. People dont need to see the McDonalds name to know what the golden arches mean. They also know exactly what McDonalds is about, fast food. This comes from being visible in a market and building a relationship with customers to know how to recognize the brand. McDonalds would not be the worldwide success that it is without being visible and allowing people to see what its about. This just shows its beneficial to display your name and your message whenever you can. Dont miss an opportunity to be seen and established with potential prospects, be visible. Obtaining A Beautiful Tan Can Be Hazardous If You're Not Aware Of The Dangers Of Tanning Beds
by sarina methot - Monday, 18 February 2008, 01:47 AM
Anyone in the world

By Tim Gorman Having an even, bronzed tan is still very much in fashion. Unfortunately, though, too many people pay a high price as a result. After spending countless hours tanning in the sun or in tanning salons, they're ripe for trouble. More and more research has been done which links tanning beds with an increased risk of skin cancer, and accelerated aging of the skin. The problem is that ultraviolet rays are the ones that tan the skin. If you've spent hours under UV lamps on a tanning bed, then you've probably been exposed to dangerous levels of ultraviolet rays. This danger is greatly increased for people under the age of 16, because they're skin is still very tender and soft. If you're extremely fair and burn easily in the sun, then you're highly susceptible to skin cancer. Even worse, if your family has a history of skin cancer then you're highly vulnerable. If you have freckles, red head or even just very fair hair, then youre putting yourself at risk using a tanning bed. Tanning beds should only be used under medical supervision, or with expert guidance from trained salon staff. You're simply inviting disaster if the light is too intense, or you stay on the tanning bed for too long. You can end up with irritated skin in the short term, and in the long term you'll probably find that your skin will age faster or even develop a leathery look. For those who are young, they may not notice the damage being done because their skin is still young and supple. But in the long run they will also have problems if they continue using tanning beds. If you're middle aged or older, then tanning beds definitely should only be used on a limited basis, if at all. Applying tanning bed lotions or creams may help protect you from the ultraviolet rays up to a point, but they won't give you complete protection. If you're using a tanning bed at home, you must be extra careful. Don't make the mistake of thinking that a tanning bed is like a bathtub, where you can relax for hours on end. Be very careful, or you may find yourself suffering the consequences of misuse. Don't let obtaining a beautiful tan be hazardous to your health. Online Dating Tips
by sarina methot - Saturday, 16 February 2008, 08:17 PM
Anyone in the world

By Andrew Bermam Passion, lasting relationships, someone to share days with are what most men and women of the new millennium desire. Mankind is a social animal and solitary life is not what he is on earth for. The sizzles on celluloid, love at first sight, idyllic sun sets with handsome men and women holding hands is not always what life offers. In everyday life love and romance are vastly different. It blossoms based on trust, friendship, and respect. The bonds grow with common interests and enjoyment of one anothers company. Get rid of the notion that miss ideal or mister lover boy will materialize out of the fog. Quit waiting around and create a strategy to find your ideal. If you are fed up with the regular route try online dating. People who register on dating sites are not all demons or ogres. Most are everyday men and women. Statistics reveal that a large number are educated and professionals. So take a decision and visit online dating sites. Find out how they work. Be sure to check out their credentials. You can make a success of online dating by: 1. Creating an online profile that is the real you. For quick results submit a nice flattering natural photograph. Find out from friends what your positive traits are and include them. Write a profile that projects in words the real you. 2. Prepare a detailed list of what you want in a partner. What you like and what you dislike. If you fill in your requirements correctly then the site will be able to send you matches that are not random selections but close to your requirements. Know the commonly used search options like profession, age, location, height, physical characteristics, horoscope/birth signs, and hobbies. 3. Learn how to recognize a possible date and to weed out bad ones. Make sure you observe all the secure dating rules. 4. Once you have short-listed a few possible dates and corresponded by email, you should chat with a few dates using the chat rooms. 5. Be open and communicative. The key to success is to convey thoughts as well as feelings clearly and in an interesting way. But avoid being obsessive about past relationships or children. When you decide to date make a conscious effort to put the past behind. 6. Thousands of people submit profiles. So, learn how to make yours interesting and different. If you want possible dates to get in touch you must create interesting and refreshing headlines, submit photos that are not run of the mill, and write a profile that is not boringit must convey or tell a story. 7. Set realistic goals and be positive, assured, and a complete person. Dont let online dating be the only interest in life. You are an individual so have a career, hobbies, and activities. 8. Learn the art of cyber flirting and dont come on too strong. Tease but dont give the impression of being cheap or easy. 9. Make time to view profiles. To be successful you may need to view as many as 100 profiles each month. So, take finding the ideal search seriously and spend time for yourself. 10. Be realistic in your search. Find a match that has something in common with you. Then take the first step to meet the person in actuality. Read the rules of safe first date and follow them. Never put yourself in danger. Dating is not hard if you are willing to make effort. Like you there are thousands who are busy in their daily lives and have not found a life-partner. Find an ideal that you are comfortable with and can see yourself spending a lifetime with. Happy dating! B Vitamins Work Best Together
by sarina methot - Friday, 15 February 2008, 09:52 PM
Anyone in the world

By Iris Bell, MD PhD "Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint." - Mark Twain Many vitamins are essential players in the natural biochemistry of your body. B vitamins are particularly important for proper functioning of your brain and nervous system. Although you can sometimes buy each vitamin by itself in a health food store, it is best to take B vitamins together. Doctors refer to them as B complex vitamins to emphasize their interactions and interdependence. Many of the B vitamins were discovered and eventually isolated during the first half of the 1900's. They include B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 pantothenic acid, B6 (pyridoxine), B12 (cobalamin), folic acid or folate, and biotin. These vitamins are water-soluble and are known in more technical terms as "coenzymes." That is, they help the enzymes of the body properly run the biochemical reactions we need to operate the functions of our cells. Food sources of B vitamins include whole grains, nuts, liver, red meats, green leafy vegetables, and brewer's yeast. For instance, B1 or thiamine is important for the proper utilization of carbohydrates in the diet. B6 or pyridoxine is essential for processing the amino acids from proteins in the diet. In addition to iron deficiency anemia, lack of adequate amounts of certain B vitamins, such as B6, B12, and/or folate, can itself lead to different kinds of anemias, with fatigue, weakness, and poor tolerance of exercise. Alcoholics often deplete their supplies of thiamine and folic acid, making it essential to include vitamin repletion in treatment for this common and serious problem. B vitamins play a major role in proper functioning of the nervous system. Low levels of B vitamins such as B6 can impair the ability to synthesize common brain transmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine. This is the kind of situation when taking a drug for depression, for instance, may not help as much as it could, because of the brain's inability to make the brain chemicals that the drug works on. Inadequate B6 can even lead to seizures in severe cases. In older people especially, low levels of B vitamins can lead to poorer cognitive (thinking) abilities. People at the lowest levels of several B vitamins in their diet and/or blood levels have the poorest memory and general cognitive function. Some people lose the ability to absorb B12 because of changes in their stomach and manufacture of intrinsic factor, which is necessary for B12 absorption. People who can't make intrinsic factor typically need B12 shots to get the vitamin into their bodies. Many other people, however, as they age, lose the ability to make stomach acid. They have intrinsic factor to absorb B12, but the low acid condition in their stomach makes it hard to release the B12 from foods. In this situation, taking B12 supplements by mouth in capsules or tablets that dissolve easily or via liquid supplements can replace the body levels of the vitamin without needing shots in most cases. In recent years, there has been increased interest in folate, B12, and B6, which are important in different steps for processing and detoxifying the amino acid homocysteine. Homocysteine can build up in the bloodstream and cause damage to blood vessels. In addition to cholesterol, homocysteine is a risk factor for heart disease, stroke, and Alzheimer's disease. The good news is that taking supplements of folate, B12, and B6 can often lower elevated levels of homocysteine and perhaps side-step or at least delay or lessen the health risks. Many people do not realize how interactive the body's biochemistry really is. For instance, thyroid hormone regulates use of vitamin B2. In turn, vitamin B2 is needed to catalyze a reaction that generates the active form of vitamin B6. To clear out homocysteine, there are many metabolic steps, some of which require adequate amounts of B6, folate, and B12. In other words, the B complex vitamins are part of a biochemical network. Pushing the dose of any single vitamin might imbalance the interactions with the rest of the network. So, the bottom line at this point is to take a good multivitamin including all of the B complex vitamins in adequate amounts (at least the recommended daily allowance and perhaps a bit more). Be careful of excess B vitamins. Although they are water soluble, high doses of B6 (200 mg or so per day for many months) can cause damage to peripheral nerves. Daily doses around 10-25 mg/day are probably OK for most people (but consult your physician for your own case). Excess folate can lead to insomnia and/or GI distress. People probably need somewhere between the RDA of 0.4 mg and the amount suggested for pregnant women to prevent the birth defect of spina bifida, of 0.8 mg/day. Higher doses may over-activate the nervous system and cause insomnia or irritability. So, more is not always better, but the right amount for you is essential. In the world of complex interactions in networks, linear relationships are not common. Think instead of an upside down or inverted U shaped graph - too little or too much is bad, but somewhere in the middle is just right. Cosmetic Surgery-Benefits and Risks
by sarina methot - Thursday, 14 February 2008, 07:11 PM
Anyone in the world

By Eriani Doyel If you used to think that cosmetic surgery was only for the rich and famous, you have probably already noticed that today nearly everyone can take advantage of some of the techniques available. Even some teenagers are going under the knife to get the look they want, whether it be a nose job, or breast implants. But, is all of this excitement really worth it? Are you going to get results that will really change your life and your looks for the better? Before you undergo any type of cosmetic surgery, there are some questions you will need to ask of yourself and your potential surgeon to make sure this decision is right for you. 1. What are your reasons for wanting the surgery? If you have an unsightly scar or birthmark, it may be something very obvious. But, if you just want to change your looks to appear younger or to enhance one of your features, which may be more of a personal preference. Either reason may be a worthwhile motivation to get cosmetic surgery, but you must still keep in mind that surgery is surgery and is a very serious decision. Surgery is not a cure-all for any self-esteem issues you may be having, it is just one part. 2. Who is your surgeon? Did you know that to perform cosmetic surgery you do not technically have to have any specialized training? Once you have graduated from medical school you can practice any type of medicine-including cosmetic surgery. However, your surgeon can be certified by the Board of Medical Examiners and also by national organizations which have strict guidelines about training and qualifications. Any surgeon you choose should be well-qualified and experienced in your type of surgery. 3. Are you aware of the risks? From one to four percent of people who have cosmetic surgery experience difficulties of one kind or another. These can be simply a problem with symmetry, or as serious as an infection, too much skin being removed, or even death. Some people are opting to head south of the border to Mexico and other locations for low-cost cosmetic surgery, only to find less than ideal operating conditions and doctors who are not adequately trained. Serious complications can result-so just as you would check out your surgeon here, check out your surgeon anywhere-maybe even more carefully. 4. Are there reasons you should not have cosmetic surgery? If you are suffering from self-esteem issues, and all of your self-worth is based on your outward appearance, you may not find the answers you are looking for with cosmetic surgery. Beauty truly is only skin deep. There are limitations to the results that you will get with surgery. Your surgeon should be very honest with you about what you can reasonably expect. Look inside yourself to find what your motivations are an where your sense of self-worth is coming from. Eriani Doye writes articles for Health and Beauty. Expectations of Online Dating - Things to Consider
by sarina methot - Wednesday, 13 February 2008, 07:56 AM
Anyone in the world

By L Ruppert You have no doubt heard about online dating, regardless of whether you have tried it or not. The reason for this is because online dating is really becoming popular and everyone is trying it; even those individuals who turned their noses up at it for so long. And while there are many advantages to online dating, such as finding a date for the weekend or even the love of your life, there are some things you should really keep in mind to make the process as easy as possible on you. Consider the following points before you begin your online dating venture to possibly avoid some difficult situations in the future. Tip #1 Location
Yes, your soul mate could be anywhere in the entire world, but does that mean he/she is online? Maybe, maybe not. However, what you really need to consider before beginning your online dating process is how far you are willing to travel to meet your online date. At first you might respond to all types of individuals from far off places thinking it innocent, yet a relationship evolves and you find yourself racking up credit card debt traveling to far off states or even countries to meet "the one." This is fine and dandy if you are able to afford it, however many individual embark on online dating only to all in love with someone far away, begin traveling, and then have the relationship fall apart and just a lot of debt to remind them of it. This tip is not telling you to avoid men or women that are not local because that is one of the main benefits of online dating. It is telling you however to be sure you know your capabilities and limitations and set some rules for yourself before you begin online dating. You might simply want to search for dates within driving distance, or you might like the idea of a far away love. It is up to you, but it is worthwhile to consider the distance and what might happen if you fall in love. Are you prepared to move? Is he/she? These things should be discussed early to avoid heartbreak later on. Tip #2 Photos
You want to look your best in your online profile so you might be tempted to have professional photos taken after you have had your hair styled and your makeup applied by a makeup artist. Or, if you are a man, you might consider a photo that is 5-10 years old. While you will certainly look great in these photos it is taking a risk with potential dates. You might think if you can reel them in with your appearance then when they meet you your personality will make up for the difference in the photos and the real you. This is a huge risk and you will really be doing yourself a favor if you take a photo of the every day you and post it on your profile. The reason for this is potential dates want to know what you really look like, today, not be impressed with an old photo or one that does not really represent you. Consider this long and hard because if you get replies under false pretenses and head out on a date it is likely the date will resent the fudge, consider you dishonest, and never contact you again. It is a risk and should be weighed accordingly. Tip #3 Giving Out Your Address
The world is not full of mean spirited people, but it does have a small percentage of the population that fits in this category. So, when you are carrying on an online relationship with someone make sure that you have built a level of confidence with them that is longer than a couple of weeks before you give out your home address. Really, the best thing to do is to meet any online acquaintances at different destinations until you feel comfortable enough with them to share your home address. This might seem a bit overprotective, but it is really the best policy. Also, if you don't like a date or it goes bad you don't have to worry about the date coming by and trying to persuade you to go out again in person. This is up to every person, but it is really a great idea to wait a while before exchanging addresses. Tip #4 Dating Many at Once
Obviously if you have been without a date for a while and all of a sudden multiple men or women are writing to you are going to feel flattered and interested in getting to know all of them. While you might be able to handle one or two, maybe even three people, you will really want to avoid going over that number because you will confuse yourself, the characteristics and maybe even names of the individuals, and possibly lose the interest of all of them. Try chatting with one individual at a time. You can of course respond to others on a weekly basis just asking more about them as you are finding out whether you want to continue with one individual or not. Once you know an individual is not what you are looking for simply let them know you are not interested and move on to another. You will reduce embarrassing situations for yourself and be better able to determine what individual best matches your personality and characteristics. Online dating is really helping singles find dates and even spouses, not to mention many people are meeting new friends worldwide. And although there are more benefits than negatives you should really consider the following points before you ever begin your online dating so that you will know where you stand and what your personal rules are about online dating and who you are looking for before you get tangled up in a situation that could really be disastrous. Top Ten Checklist for Your Sales Letter
by sarina methot - Tuesday, 12 February 2008, 12:25 AM
Anyone in the world

By Judy Cullins Every product and service you sell needs a sales letter. You need a short sales letter to prompt new ezine subscribers. You need a longer one on your Web site for coaching and other services. You need a sales letter for each book you sell. If your web site or emails are not attracting buyers, you need this top ten sales letter checklist: 1. Include on your home page (if you have more than one product or service) a strong, benefit-driven headline for each with a link to your sales letter. The following phrase is a link to the marketing your business online sales letter by your coach. "Discover How in Only Four Months You Can Quadruple your Monthly Income and Reach 10,000 to 100,000 Internet Users Who Want your information--GUARANTEED-To Move you to the Top Profits You've Been Dreaming About." Without a headline that hooks your potential buyer or client, you will not convince they must have your product or service. 2. Prepare for your Sales Letter a List of 5-10 Benefits. Many professionals get mixed up as to what are benefits and what are features. Know that benefits sell and features explain. What will your customer experience after they buy your service? These outcomes (benefits) usually include a completion of a goal, or an understanding of a concept to help your audience do something better. The biggest benefits? Saving time, saving money, creating money, and creating great relationships. They want to know what value they will receive when they buy. Now, list these in order of the biggest benefit to the smallest. For instance, for your book coach's ebook on how to get a book written and published, the biggest benefit is that it will bought by many and make you life long income. Other benefits include: you will become a leader in your field and you will feel happy your message reached your audience. Writing benefits include more compelling, easy-to-read, and organized chapters. Be sure to include visual and feeling words such as "Imagine yourself in your perfect relationship," or "See yourself..." or Feel more energetic, happier, enthusiastic...." Without benefits bulleted throughout your sales pieces, your potential buyer won't have a reason to buy. 3. Prepare for your Sales Letter a List of 5-10 Features. For a book, features include the number of pages, tips, how to's, practices, exercises and pertinent quotes. For coaching, a feature could be, gives you email backup as an added value," or "devotes total attention to your challenge each session," or "gives you field work to move you through your process easier and faster." It's a good idea to combine benefits and features. "Save yourself disappointment and money down the drain with my "Fast-Forward Writing Technique," or enjoy your life to the fullest when you follow the Five Steps to "The Easy and Fun Life" book. 4. Explain how your product or service is better or different than your competitors. You always need to give your potential customer a reason to buy. Think about your uniqueness. What makes you stand out from the crowd? Study other people's web sites and their sales letters. Notice how they approach this challenge. My mentor is Dan Poynter, author of the "Self-Publishing Manual." My book on how to write your e or print book takes off where his book ends. It teaches authors to pre-market with the essential "hot-selling points." and it shows them step-by-step, how to put each chapter together--the" fast-forward writing technique." Think about gurus in your field, and compare yourself to them. If possible, create a one-sentence sound bite that people will remember. 5. Share what your product or service is not. Clarify your service. If you are a coach, how does that differ from a consultant? When you share the downside, you let your visitor see the human side of you. If you have a book, you can establish more rapport with your potential buyer by saying something like, "It alone can't change your life; you will need to take some action on the steps offered." 6. Present the "YOU" point of view in your sales letter. When you refer to others such as we or they, you don't speak directly to your to be buyer. Involve them with phrases such as, "You will feel renewed energy after you read this book, so much so, that you'll ask your kids to dance with you." Or, "you can finish your book in less than a month, and get it selling immediately, so you can take that Caribbean trip, pay for your children's college, or buy that new car you've been wanting. One big mistake is to use too many "I's" in your sales material. That's self-serving and people don't care about you; they care about what you can do for them. 7. Make your Online copy easy to read. Online copywriting is different than print. People don't want to see long paragraphs or long sentences. They will tune right out. Instead, keep your sentences under 15 words, and include only 3-4 sentences in your paragraphs. Apply this technique to your articles, tips, ezines and sales letters. Use one-sentence paragraphs for emphasis or drama. 8. Use power words to attract your waive ring potential client. Power words elicit emotion. They create visual pictures in your readers' mind. Bring a sound or feeling to mind, and imply a reason to buy. When you use my service, you will feel confident you are on your way to solve your challenge, or you look as fresh as a spring day in New York. Here are a few of the most important ones: FREE, NEW, DISCOVER, AMAZING, BREAKTHROUGH, LATEST, PROVEN, GUARANTEED, TOP, SECRETS, ACT NOW, and EASY. Make sure your power words address your audience's challenge. 9. Write your sales letter in a friendly, conversational style. People love to read a short story, so if you have one from a client or yourself that will relate to others, be sure to use it. If you want a shorter piece, then use an analogy. Start your letter, "Dear Fellow Coach... or Dear Fellow Small Business Person.... Open your letter with the challenge of where your potential client is right now. Address the problem, then follow with what you can offer and how you will deliver it. "Are you disappointed and tired of time and money down the drain using traditional marketing? How would you like to attract more clients than you ever dreamed of in less time and never have to leave your office?" Here's an example for book coaching: "You will be working with a person who lives a balanced life. I love my work, enjoy friends and family and relax enough to feel energetic each day to enjoy it all--with a sense of humor." 10. Make sure you include information to create a high-perceived value for your service. In one coaching letter, I make these services known: -On a path of mastery, I keep myself abreast of what's important in publishing, promotion and marketing. An expert with Internet marketing, I share this avenue with you freely so you can hit the ground running and sell your books or service. You learn what I learned and what I am learning. -As your success partner, we come together as prepared as possible. You have done your assigned bimonthly fieldwork of writing 5-6 pages to discuss and brainstorm with, and share with me where you are now. Each session you bring questions you want answered in addition to receiving feedback on your writing that helps to make it more organized, easy to read, and compelling. -As you need them, I freely give special reports for a particular skill you need to work on. These give guidance in between our calls. You can also email me with a question that needs answering right now. -When you become a committed, ongoing client I am totally devoted to you. I give you full support in our partnership. If you haven't finished your sales letter for your service or product, use this checklist and contact a writing coach who can help you create a sales letter that attracts new clients and customers. Your web site copy must back up your other promotion, or you will experience lackluster results. Reach Your Weight Loss Goals by Changing Your Eating Habits
by sarina methot - Sunday, 10 February 2008, 08:35 PM
Anyone in the world

By Shelly Crawford Simply changing your eating habits is often the key to reaching your weight loss goals. Ask yourself who, what, when, where, and why questions about your eating habits and listen carefully to the answers. See if you can identify clues that will help you make necessary lifestyle changes. Be aware of who you are eating with. Do you find that you tend to overeat or make bad food choices when you are around certain people or at social events? Have a strategy. Rehearse in your mind exactly what you will do in these situations. Remind yourself several times a day that you are in charge of your actions. It's okay to choose not to be around certain people or attend certain social events. It's okay to say no thank you and decline an invitation. You are in control of you. If someone will not support your efforts then remove yourself from their association for the necessary amount of time you need to reach your goals. Be aware of when and where you are eating. Too often we eat mindlessly, while we are watching television, driving in the car, while we are cooking, talking on the phone etc. It is during these times that we intake calories with no regard or recognition and inevitably put on unwanted weight. Sit down and eat at the table only.
Don't eat so late.
Stop eating two to three hours before bedtime. Calories consumed late in the day stay around to be converted to fat because your metabolism decreases later in the day. Your body is preparing for rest, not digestion. Be aware of how and what you are eating. Don't eat so fast. Sometimes we eat so fast, ingesting huge amounts of calories in a short period of time, that we have barely tasted the food, let alone enjoyed it. These calories are turned into unwanted body fat. Chew your food slowly, taste it, make it a habit and give yourself a chance to feel full. It takes about 20 minutes for your body to send a message to your brain that you are full. Put your fork down between bites. Take a break. Drink some water. Be aware of why you are eating. Sometimes we think we are hungry when we are really just thirsty. Drink some water first. If you are eating out of boredom, find a hobby or an interest that gets you out of the house. To kill a craving or binge, wait 5 to 10 minutes before putting something into your mouth. This may be all you need to get through. If you are eating late in the evening -- especially when you are not even hungry, choose to stop eating 2-3 hours before bedtime every night. Chew some gum, brush your teeth, turn off the lights and stay out of the kitchen to remind yourself that you are finished eating for the day. Taking the time to think about who, what, when, where, and why you eat helps you to identify current habits that need to be replaced with better habits in order to reach and maintain your target weight. By Eric Morris A bachelor's degree is an academic degree conferred by a college or university upon those students who complete the undergraduate curriculum. Study courses for these degrees are usually for four years. However, their duration might differ at times, depending upon the university and the courses applied for. The main aim of the bachelor's degree in child education is to provide the student with ample knowledge that will help in improving his/her skills, while handling children whom they teach. It is considered mandatory by most of the elementary and senior secondary schools throughout the world. This program ensures better understanding of the child's psychology by the teacher. The Bachelor of Arts degree program in early childhood education is a major part of the degree in child education. It focuses mainly on comprehensive care and education of children from birth up to the age of 8. It also involves professional interaction with their families. This education forms the academic framework, which developmentally guides certain appropriate practices in early childhood settings. Emphasis is laid on responding to the developmental and cultural uniqueness of each child. Students in the program often learn to design, implement, and evaluate curricular activities and learning environments. Each student is required to complete student teaching experience in Preprimary and primary settings. This degree helps students to prepare for careers in teaching in public and private schools. It enables them to fulfill teacher certification and various other professional requirements in the field of early childhood education. It also provides an opportunity for students to advance on a professional career of early childhood education. The objective of the degree is to make sure that the students become familiar with the science of education and its various methods for the acquisition of knowledge. It is imperative for them to know the philosophical, societal and psychological bases for pedagogical action and the implementation of practical education and teaching, and work for better and improved communication and co-operation skills.
