Anyone in the world By Jill Renee Impressing someone with elaborate gifts can be one way of telling the person that you are dating that you think they are special, and that you have great hopes for the relationship. Valentines Day gifts in this stage of a relationship can tell people a lot about each other, and can be a good indicator of where the relationship may be headed. What about people who have been married for a while? For married couples Valentines Day isnt less importantjust different and, in many ways, better. It is a time to celebrate love and reminisce about all the Valentines Days that you have spent together. Gifts given on Valentines Day to a spouse can have much more significance, because you should know your spouse well enough to give something that has special meaning. A diamond anniversary band or three stone ring given to a wife tells her that you are glad that you married her and that you value your life together. A gold watch given to a husband tells him that you appreciate him and want him to have the very best. Married couples dont have to give elaborate gifts on Valentines Day; a meaningful gift that says you care or a sweet gesture of love are just as special. When you are married, the thought that is put into the gift is the important factor. A jewelry gift that says I know you, and I know what makes you happy goes a long way toward making someone feel that they are special and valued. If your wife likes heart shapes then giving her a diamond heart pendant or bracelet with heart-shaped charms can mean much more to her than simply handing her a gold chain. It shows that you know what she likes, you listen to her, that you put thought into the gift. Jewelry that celebrates each others individuality as well as the life that you have made together can be priceless, no matter what the actual cost. Giving your spouse something they have been considering buying for a while is a good way to show your love. To come up with an original Valentines Day gift think about what is important to your spouse; what makes him or her happy. Does your husband love to golf? Give him a gift certificate for a round of golf at his favorite course. Does your wife love classical music? Tickets for a night out to see the symphony lets you plan a second night to spend together. A gift of jewelry is a lasting reminder of this Valentines Day and your relationship and jewelry is always appreciated. And dont forget about giving flowers they may seem traditional but flowers brighten a winter day and are romantic. One of the reasons that successful marriages stay that way is because the spouses try never to take each other for granted, and the right gift on Valentines Day can go a long way in proving your commitment to that ideal. Anyone in the world By Kevin Pederson Avocado is sometimes known as the alligator pear because of the texture of its skin and its pear-like shape. The avocado contains a good supply of carotene, there being three times as much in a well-colored ripe fruit as in a hard one. Analysts have found no less than 11 vitamins and 17 minerals in avocado, making it a very comprehensive storehouse of the nutritional needs of man. There is a high level of oil which contains the vitamins A, D, and E, and is rich in the mono-unsaturated fat oleic acid. This type of fat is the principal constituent of olive oil which is rapidly gaining credence for preventing of heart disease. Although the calorie count of the avocado is large, there being 165 calories in l00g (40z), it is of excellent nutritional worth The avocado is also rich in vitamin 86, with an impressive 530 micrograms per l00g (40z). There is evidence that the leaves and fruits of the avocado have been shown to contain a substance known to be somewhat toxic to goats, rabbits, horses and canaries. There is no evidence that there is any danger to man, but for the sake of prudence it is best to have no more than one avocado a day whether juiced or fresh. Happily the fate of the unfortunate canary need not affect the use of avocado juice in the therapy because the best effect is found when the juice is employed as an external application to the skin. Avocado juice is a good way of having a balanced quantity of the oil of avocado. The oil is second only to lanolin in being the most penetrating oil known when applied to the human skin. Yet, unlike lanolin which is thought by many experts to be the cause of more cases of sensitivity to cosmetics than any other ingredient, avocado is emollient and innocuous without any known sensitizing effects. It can therefore be used externally as the ideal treatment for soothing sensitive skins. Avocado reduces ultra violet light and is a useful sun screening lotion for use prior to moderate exposure to the suns rays. Kevin Pederson has been managing a number of natural home remedies websites which have information on information on common cold as well as importance and value of avocado juice. Anyone in the world By Anthony Lee Bass fishing is just one of the many forms of relaxation the individual can do to spend quality time with family or bond with friends. It beats working in the office and is a great escape from the pressures of the city. There are a few things needed in order to fish aside from a boat, the fishing pole and a license since most states require it. There area also the lures, which will be used to attract the fish so these can be captured and brought aboard. Here are some of the best things to use as lures when the person will go bass fishing. 1. Getting the right lure sometimes requires knowing what the bass loves to eat and a good example is a worm. Since it is hard to control where this small creature is doing, the best thing to do will be to get one that is made of plastic. The supply store will have this in different lengths and colors so all the individual has to do is tie it at the end of the fishing rod then begin to reel it in. 2. Crankbait is also another lure that can be used to catch bass because it looks like baitfish or a crawfish. It can work in any kind of water and is used quite often to teach newbies how to fish. 3. Something similar to the crankbait is spinner bait. This is because the lure also looks like a baitfish and has been known to capture bass in bigger sizes. These are also available in different sizes, color and blade configuration which the person can choose when going fishing. 4. For those who want to fish like the veterans, the best lure to get is the Jig and Pig. This model resembles a crawfish and is used in tournaments where this is placed all the way to the bottom and attracts a bass that is swimming there hoping to get a nice meal. 5. The Bucktail Jig is another lure that can be used to catch all kinds of fish and just the bass. People can find this with plastic tails in the end that could be curly or straight, which really looks like a smaller fish, which these creatures love to eat. 6. The bass does not only look for a free meal at the bottom of the lake but also on the surface. The top water plug is one lure that just stays on top then it pulled down meaning a bass has gotten hold of the bait. 7. It may be hard to see in the water so bass have to rely on other senses to catch prey. The tail spinner moves around and when the fish picks up the vibration, the person surely has a bass and the only thing to do will be to pull it into the boat. The last thing that can be used as a bass fishing lure is a spoon. No, this is not the kind used for eating but is curved and is more effective than the other kinds sold in the market. Bass fishing can only be fun if there are fish caught for supper. This means having the right lures so this can happen regardless of the water conditions. Anyone in the world By Alix Williams At this time of year, flowers in the garden are scarce and, with exception of a few hardy souls, the garden is usually a place to avoid until the warmth returns. But how many times have you stopped while walking during the winter months, wondering where that amazing aroma is coming from? Even at this time of year, nature still produces a number of flowering plants with the most delicious perfumes, and I have put together a list of some of those that you could use in your garden. All are hardy, with the exception of the mimosa, which is half-hardy. Some I grow in my garden, others I have found in the gardens of friends or from searching various gardening books and the internet. I was amazed to find out how many there actually were - and I am sure there are more! Aromatic flowering plants that could make your garden a beautiful place to be in the winter: Daphne is a small shrub with several winter-flowering fragrant varieties (beware: the flowers are followed by berries that are poisonous): Daphne odora Aureomarginata' has pink flowers, gold-edged green leaves and a heavenly scent - I know from experience that a vase of this in your living room will fill the whole house with the most delicious fragrance. Daphne mezereum is a deciduous shrub producing small, sweetly scented, pink or white flowers. Christmas box (Sarcococca) - a small evergreen shrub with delicate pale yellow/white flowers. Uninteresting for most of the year, in late winter/early spring it produces wispy clusters of white or cream flowers with a very strong fragrance. The blooms are followed by black or red berries. Viburnum - there are a number of different types of Viburnum that produce fragrant flowers, one of which is V. farreri (V. fragrans), an 8-ft shrub with pretty clusters of scented white flowers from November to February. Mahonia japonica - this medium-sized (6-ft) evergreen shrub produces dramatic yellow flower spikes with the wonderful scent of lily-of-the valley between November and February. But be warned: the leaves can be quite spiky too! Witch hazel (Hamamelis) is a deciduous, medium-sized shrub. From December to February, different varieties produce spider-like flowers that vary in colour from pale yellow to dark orange, but which all have a strong, sweet fragrance. Winter sweet (Chimonanthus praecox) is a medium-sized, deciduous shrub which flowers from December to March, producing small yellow flowers with a strong spicy aroma. Winter honeysuckle (Lonicera fragrantissima) is a climber and grows to about 7 ft, producing lemon-scented, creamy flowers throughout the winter. White forsythia (Abeliophyllum distichum) is a small, deciduous shrub giving white or pink flowers with an almond-like fragrance on purple-tinged stems in February/March. Evergreen Clematis (Clematis armandii) - this is a tall climber (9 ft) with long glossy evergreen leaves that are smothered with fragrant white flowers in late winter. Mimosa (Acacia dealbata) - Mimosa is an evergreen shrub or small tree for sheltered gardens or conservatories. It has silvery leaves accompanied by long, fragrant yellow bobbles of flower heads in late winter and early spring. So, with this range of fragrance available, winter in the garden doesn't have to be such an uninteresting place - visit your garden centre now! Sources Brickell C, ed. Anyone in the world By Peter Finch Every year hundreds of Ukraine girls marry foreigners, despite the fact that they could marry a girl in their own country. Why is this? The reasons are obvious to all Ukraine girls. Ukrainian girls are beautiful, intelligent, independent, and show love freely to all that have earned it. They make a wonderful working woman, and an equally wonderful housewife. They have great taste, and a sense of humor that will keep you laughing all day. They also cook delicious meals for when you get home from a hard day of work. Their education is top notch and it makes them perfect for being both a wife and a mother. Most foreigners become acquainted with Ukrainian girls through the Internet, or marriage agencies set up in the country. Men from other countries look specifically towards dating a Ukraine girl because of the fact that they are so well known as wonderful women. Foreigners often send letters or emails over a long period of time, usually at least 2 months to a year, to get to know the Ukraine girl. It is during this time that they can find out if they have things in common, and when the first meeting should take place. Men pay attention to how often a Ukraine girl writes and how soon she answers the letters you send. What she writes about herself is equally as important. Dating a Ukraine girl takes time, and at first she might be willing to give only general facts, but as you find her opening up more and more to you, then it might be worth it to take the next step to meeting her in person. It is important never to surprise your Ukraine girl without letting her know you are coming. Just like women in your own country you want to give them time to prepare, so that they have no other important matters in their life at the time, such as school or work. Dating a Ukraine girl is like following a specific process. They have what can be considered a "master plan" to dating. They want to first get acquainted with you through pictures, and correspondence. Then after a few months of writing it leads to phone calls and then possibly your first visit. Only then do they consider marriage. Each of these steps are important to a Ukraine girl and are taken very seriously. To know if this can turn into a serious relationship you look at several things. They will never ask you for money or presents. They are much more interested in getting to know you as a person then what you can do for the. They will also answer all of your questions honestly and in detail. You should plan on doing the same as well. Honesty is extremely important when dating a Ukraine girl. Even if you are corresponding with other Ukraine girls at the same time you need to be very upfront about it, and let them know. It is perfectly acceptable to want to get to know many Ukraine girls before deciding on just one, but if you are planning to visit Ukraine then you should let everyone involved know that you may be meeting more than just one Ukraine girl. Ukrainian ladies are sensitive and respectful, and deserve the same from you. They have an innate ability to forgive and understand so you shouldn't hide important facts that you may be seeing more than one Ukrainian girl. The most important factor in dating a Ukraine girl is that you are honest and that your intentions towards her are serious. Anyone in the world By Thomas Morva Wrought iron garden furniture is very aesthetically appealing to look at. A special type of iron that has additives to make it malleable, with a low corrosion rate is used to create wrought iron. Impregnating iron with tiny slivers of iron silicate that changes the chemical properties of the iron creates this useful and valuable metal. This decorative iron is used in creating patio furniture, garden benches, and even window screens. It has special features that make the furniture made out of it anti corrosive, and also gives it a great finish. Most metal benches are found to have ugly patches of discolored rust when they corrode, however wrought iron benches distribute the rust into a dappled coppery or brownish finish that, adds to the beauty of the piece. The size of the wrought iron chairs and seats has to be borne in mind. They are generally made big and more people can squeeze into it than traditional wooden seats. It is advisable to buy wrought iron furniture from the local store. Wrought iron garden furniture is quite heavy and solidly constructed, but it may be less comfortable to sit on. Hence a buyer can use cushions or pillows on them, to make it more comfortable. It is advisable to ensure that the furniture suits the needs as well as, the aesthetics, before going in for the buy. It is important that the wrought iron furniture suits the garden. It is worth noting that the wrought iron garden furniture can be custom made to the taste of the buyer. They can give their choice of design and have it made accordingly. There is an additional feature that adds on to the advantage of this type of furniture. That is its cost factor. It is relatively affordable in comparison to the traditional garden furniture made of wood. Anyone in the world By Howard McGarity Losing weight is on the mind of a lot of Americans and it is a very heavy burden. By definition, losing weight is associated with loss, but the loss involves far more than the shedding of unwanted pounds. Perception has it that you must also suffer the loss of eating enjoyment, eating comfort and a certain social pleasure. The negative associations of losing weight are legion: abstinence, deprivation and torture, failure, guilt and the imagined prospect of being on a diet for the rest of your life. A heavy burden indeed! It is understandable that many people simply give up. And yet in their resignation they find neither peace nor happiness. Often when things arent working, it is helpful to look at them from the inside out. A different point of view usually leads to a fresh understanding which in turn can lead to a new and better approach, increased motivation and greater confidence. Shift Your Perspective. Consider that perhaps your real goal should not be weight loss but the much broader and more important objective of good health. Remember, obesity and good health cannot co-exist. Also, it is very easy to be thin, unfit and unhealthy. It is far more positive and uplifting to pursue a goal of vitality and vigor than to dwell in a mindset of lack and suffering. As contradictory as it sounds, the best approach to losing weight is to grow your body lean, strong and healthy. To understand this better, compare different ways of approaching the old standards of diet and exercise. Eat to Live. Not to Lose Weight Eat to grow strong, build your immune system and increase your energy. Eating well is as essential to life as breathing. The traditional method of losing weight is to restrict calories, put yourself into starvation mode and force your body to scavenge its fat reserves. Although unpleasant, this seems to make sense until you recall the fundamental purpose behind eating. Food provides the building blocks for growth and tissue repair, supplies fuel for energy and vitamins and minerals as catalysts and to boost the immune system. Dont forget cool, clear water, the medium in which these miracles occur. If the quality of food is good, there is nothing you can cut out if you want to live and flourish. The alternative to dieting is to embrace a style of eating that is nutrient rich but not calorie dense. Coincidentally, the foods that meet the first requirement also fill the second. Additionally, they are tasty, filling and allow eating satisfaction without putting on the weight. These include lean meats, fish, non-starchy vegetables and fruit. This is not a low-carb diet but grains are restricted because they pack far too many calories and, compared to non-starchy vegetables, are lightweights in the nutrient and fiber department. Unless you know you have the nutritional background, I recommend you consult a dietitian. In one or two sessions they can help you create a satisfying plan that meets the requirements above. Then get ready to thrive while you eat well, get lean and grow strong. Get Physical and Grow Lean Get moving, not to burn calories, but to grow your heart and lungs, build some muscle, stimulate your immune system, increase bone density, relax, improve your attitude and have more fun in life. The traditional approach to exercise and losing weight is cardio, often for long periods, indoors on a machine. There are gyms, classes and programs and although they get the job done if you stick with it, its a chore and it seems to take a lot of sweat to lose a little weight. Physical activity is natural to mankind; for our ancestors it was unavoidable; as children we called it play. Now that we are older there is no reason to be physical sloths. Because we are civilized doesnt mean that our only physical activity has to be a monotonous, artificial means to lose weight faster. Walk whenever and wherever you can. Look around and enjoy your surroundings. Take the stairs. always. Get off the sofa. Plan week-end outings, to scenic destinations, that involve walking and climbing hills. Ride a bike. Begin or revive a hobby that keeps you on your feet. the more active the better. Shoot your TV. If you cant bring yourself to do that, at least be very selective about what you watch. This villain wastes your body and numbs your mind. Go out and use a rake to rake leaves and a walking mower to cut the grass. Breathe deeply, feel your heart, savor the movement of your body. Know that you are growing stronger. Take a shower, rinse off the sweat and feel great. If you work at a desk, elevate it so that you can work standing up. Have a tall stool available for when you have to sit. Take a quick walk several times a day. This will clear your head and increase your productivity. You get the general idea. You are moving away from deprivation and imposed obligation to engage life fully, with vigor and vitality. If you are like most people, you will find that you are also growing character and self-mastery. You will also find that your weight is no longer an issue. Be Strong... Anyone in the world By Vanessa Pruitt With summer already here, things can get a little bit hectic. As camping, swimming, vacations, and a whole list full of activities are upon us, here are some tips to help make your summer a little less frenzied and a little bit safer. Keep a summer fun bag. Keep a bag well stocked with all the summer essentials, such as sunscreen, bug repellant, a mini first aid kit, etc. Grab it whenever you are going on summer a outing, including the simple places, such as the pool or the park. Protect your home while youre on vacation. Lock all windows and doors, and ask a trusted neighbor to check on your home when youre away. If youll be gone for an extended period of time, its a good idea to set timers on interior lights to deter burglars, and take jewelry and valuable papers to a safe deposit box. Keep pets safe. If you keep your pets outside, provide plenty of water and shade for them at all times, and never leave animals in a parked car. Be sure your pet is on heartworm protection, as mosquitoes transmit heartworm. Resist the temptation to shave your pets fur. His coat will protect him from getting sunburned. In addition, his fur acts as a cooling insulation. Check pets for ticks often. Beat summer traffic. Hit the road before sunrise for longer trips, before everyone else. Drink plenty of water. Water is the ultimate defense against heat stroke and dehydration. Keep yourself and your family hydrated this summer. You should drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. Remember food safety. Keep all foods in a cooler until you are ready to eat or cook them. Any food left out for more than an hour should be tossed. If youre not sure about something, its better to throw it out. Be sure to wash hands often when handling food. Summer is a time to celebrate fun and family, but it is also a time to be cautious and keep safety in mind. May you have a healthy summer, and always remember to make lasting memories. This article has been written by Vanessa Pruitt, a work from home mom promoting wellness. Anyone in the world By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=John_Dulaney]John Dulaney Lithuania is officially known as the Republic of Lithuania and it is country in northern Europe. It is also the largest of the three Baltic State situated on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Latvia is to the north of Lithuania, Belarus is to its southeast, Poland and the Russian exclave Kaliningrad Oblast is towards the southwest. Lithuania, the largest and most populous of the Baltic States has 99 Kilometers of coastline. Its major port is Klaipeda and Main River is the Neman. The Lithuanian landscape is covered with glaciers. Aukstojas Hill at 964 feet from the sea level is more famous. There are also a number of lakes including the Vistytis. The climate is midway between maritime and continental. A member of the European Union since May 1, 2004, the origin of Lithuania dates back to 1009. However, the unification took place in 1236 and people all around the world started referring it as the State of Lithuania. Mindaugas, who was instrumental in the unification, was coroneted officially as the King of this state in 1253. During the first part of the 14th century A.D, Lithuania had occupied Belarus, Ukrine, parts of Poland and Russia. By the end of the 14th century it had become the largest country in Europe having the area from Baltic to Black Sea. Subsequently the Grand Duke Jogaila was crowned the King of Poland and Lithuania and Poland joined in a union. The formal union was however, dissolved in 1401. Again in 1569, Poland and Lithuania got united to form Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth. Lithuania maintained its sovereignty. However, this joint state was dissolved in 1795 with the partition of the Commonwealth. Around 90% territories of Lithuania were annexed in Russian empire and the remaining portion was annexed in Prussia. Lithuania re-established its independence on February 16th, 1918. Later the Parliament opted for a republican form of Government, replacing the existing monarchy. But the country was plagued by territorial disputes with Germany and Poland. During 1940, at the beginning of World War II, Soviet Union occupied and annexed Lithuania in accordance with Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. Later it came under German occupation and around the year 1900, and the Lithuanian Jews were killed during that period. After the defeat of Germany in the World War II, Soviet Union reoccupied Lithuania in 1944. During the soviet occupation around 780,000 people were killed in Siberia from 1944 to 1954. Led by Sajudis, Lithuania claimed its independence once again on March 11, 1990. Russian attempts to suppress the rebellion failed and the last soviet soldier left Lithuania on August 31, 1993. On February 4, 1991, Iceland was the first country to recognise Lithuania as an independent country. Sweden was the first country to open an Embassy in Lithuania. On 31st May, 2001, Lithuania joined the United Nations on 17th September, 1991 and became its 141st member. It was the first Baltic state that applied for NATO membership in 1994 and became a full fledged NATO member on March 29, 2004. Later, on May 1, 2004, it also became a member of the European Union. Valdas Adamkus is the current President of Lithuania. Since independence in 1990, Lithuania continues to be a democracy. Its first general election was held on October 25th, 1992. The constitutional pattern is a semi-presidential system. The President, who is the head of the state, is elected for a term of five years. He appoints the Prime Minister with the approval of the Parliamentary body called the Seimas and on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, nominates other members of the cabinet, civil servants, and judges. Judges of constitutional bench serve for nine years. Nine judges are appointed, three each by the President, Chairman of the Seimas, and the Chairman of the Supreme Court. Lithuanian Parliament is composed of one legislative body and has 141 members elected for a 4 year term, and 71 of them are elected on vote in single constituency and the remaining 70 by nationwide voting. Unless a party receives at least 5% of the national votes, it can not be represented in the Seimas. Administratively, Lithuania is divided in to 10 counties and 60 Municipalities. The 60 Municipalities are further subdivided into 500 elderates. The counties have county governors appointed by the central government. Their domain is national law, program, and policies.
