Anyone in the world By Caroline Melberg In part one of this series, we talked about marketing being all about telling stories. As a marketer, I tell my clients stories to their customers. And yes, I do it because I enjoy it but I also do it (as does every other marketer) because consumers demand it. So, if marketing = story telling, does that mean that all storytellers are marketers? Yes, it does. It doesnt matter whether you are in a marketing position or not the fact is, if you have an idea you want to spread or a story to tell, youre a marketer. It sounds like it should be pretty easy, then tell stories, people buy your stuff what could be easier, right? Unfortunately, its a little more complicated than that. The challenge starts with peoples perceptions and belief systems. Thats why 2 people can look at the exact same thing and have completely opposite opinions about it. An obvious example of this phenomenon can be seen in any parking lot in America. If cars were really all about getting from point A to point B, we wouldnt need more than a couple different models to choose from. But car manufacturers tell a story some cars are practical while some are environmentally friendly. Some are utilitarian while others offer speed or luxury. And the person who claims she needs a car for transportation to and from work but wouldnt be caught dead in one type of vehicle or another has simply believed the story that auto marketers have told her the type of car she selects will align with her perceptions and beliefs about the world. Perception, as they say, is reality. Its why all products dont appeal to everyone. Take diets, for instance. Many people want the exact same thing to lose weight, get in shape and feel fit and healthy. Yet if everyones perceptions were identical, there would be no need for 90% of the hundreds of diet bestsellers on the bookshelves. The diet someone chooses or the car they drive or anything they purchase fits with their perception how they see the world. If you want to attract bees put out the honey! As a marketer, one of my most important goals when Im working with a client to develop their marketing plan is to help my client determine who their best customer is, and how we can best market to those customers. As weve seen not every story will resonate with everyone. The trick in telling authentic stories is to frame your story so that it hits home with your specific customer group the customer whose way of seeing the world aligns best with the story you have to tell. Find those customers, tell your story using language that reinforces the way they see the world and watch your sales grow! Anyone in the world By Jim A. McDonald Conditions that a colon detoxification might be in order include tiredness, PMS, headaches, and of course, bowel congestion. There are hundreds of different colon purging products - if not thousands. And the act of unclogging ones colon is becoming so popular that it is fair to say that there will be a massive emergence of alternatives yet to come. Most people have anywhere between 5 to 40lbs of fecal matter in their colon at any given point of time, and a colon clarify is simply the act of cleaning the colon of this built-up fecal material. The most Common Colon Unclogging methods:
There are many ways to flush the Colon of the unwanted compacted fecal mass. Some are very basic, some command extremely invasive and comfortless measures, and some entail the consumption of various plant or mineral remedies. The main five methods of colon purging are (i) dietary changes (ii) colonic irrigation (iii) laxatives (iv) herbal remedies, and the one that is becoming most popular (v) oxygen-based colon unclogging products. Each of these methods quite obviously aim at cleaning the colon of compacted fecal mass, but each does it in a completely different way. Following are overviews of these 5 methods. 1. Changing your Diet:
Some of the most necessary diet changes include: (i) wipe out the use of dairy products (ii) Double your intake of vegetables (iii) Cut in half the amount of meat (iv) Drink 8 to 10 Glasses of bottled or filtered water (v) For breakfast eat a whole grain cereal with Soya Milk (vi) Eat Fruit, sip on fruit or vegetable juice between meals. (vii) Eat as much fruit as you want but do not drink more than 6 ounces of fruit juice per hour. (viii) as a snack, at least 2 hours before retiring, you can have soup (non-creamed), fruit or vegetable salad. Use a non-fat dressing. 2. Enemas and Hydrotherapy:
Enemas and hydrotherapy involve the insertion of an apparatus into the anus and water being forced into the colon to assist dissolve some of the fecal material in the lower end of the colon. Colon Hydrotherapy differs in that is uses more water than an Enema and should always be administered by a professional healthcare worker. There are some DIY Enema kits available, but truth be known, both are comfortless, intruding and can be very embarrassing. 3. Herbal Remedies:
A herbal colon clarify involves the use of special colon unclogging herbs which aid in the cleaning of toxic build-ups in the colon. Some of the more popular herbs used in herbal colon unclogging products are: beet root, apple fiber, bentonite, slippery elm, burdock, dandelion root, peppermint leaf and goldenseal root. Herbs such as psyllium can aid with constipation and to assist in regularity of bowel movements, but don't offer any visible breaking down of compacted fecal material. It is the compacted fecal substance that appears to be the root cause of most colon conditions, and to get a true colon flush, this substance needs to be broken down and defecated. Other herbs such as slippery elm and apple fiber also help with regularity, but again do nothing to erode the nasty compacted material. 4. Laxatives:
When you embark on a colon unblocking program your main focus is to rid the colon of compacted fecal mass. This can be the by-product of years of unhealthful eating and is constantly building up. To effectively clarify your colon, you need to blast away the compacted substance, and unfortunately laxatives just do not do the job. Sure a laxative will help to flush the free flowing fecal substance in your colon, but it will do little or nothing to rid your colon of the compacted material. 5. Oxygen-based Cleansers:
Using Oxygen-based cleansers along with colon hydrotherapy can clean and freshen up the total intestinal tract. These cleansers also have the added benefit of traveling to the kidneys and bladder to clean up the urinary tract as well. Oxygen is a necessary building block for every cell in the body. Adding oxygen-based colon cleansers is the best master plan to ensure that your colon will be cleaned safely and effectively, while delivering needed oxygen to your bloodstream and throughout your body. You see, with the use of a simple colon flushing kit, you can effectively perform the process at home, and avoid the discomfort and embarrassment that some of the intrusive processes like Hydrotherapy and Enemas - both of these techniques command the insertion of an apparatus into the anus and water being forced into the colon to aid liquefy some of the fecal substance in the lower end of the colon. In summary, colon cleanser products come in many shapes and forms, and the best colon health product solution will probably be one that involves the combination of a targeted supplement and changes to your diet. The end result is classically a feeling of better health, increased energy levels and an improved outlook on your lifestyle. Many cleansing options, such as colon hydrotherapy, also known as colonics will aid eliminate impacted waste and sickly bacteria, but they are prying and embarrassing for many. Laxative and herbal remedies certainly aid to improve regularity of bowel movements, but they do nothing to blast away the compacted fecal mass. Only an oxygen-based colon cleanser like OxyPowder can dissolve and flush out the compacted material using natural ingredients, and if you make some wise changes to your diet and lifestyle, your health is destined to improve. Anyone in the world By Lance Wilson It is your life we are talking about. Make sure that you
take every necessary step to find the right lawyer for your
needs. It is very hard to do this, though, with all the ads
flying at you, the people soliciting you, and all the
negative things that you hear about lawyers these days.
But, the fact of the matter is that you can find the right
lawyer and not all of them are that bad. Believe it or not,
some actually get into this career not to make millions or
to beat the drug companies. Some actually really want to
help you. Here are some of the things to look for in your
lawyer. Take these steps to find the perfect lawyer for the
job. Find a lawyer that specializes in your field. This
is important because you will want someone not only that
knows how to handle a case like yours, but also one that
will be up to date on the latest rulings and the latest
procedures for your case. This simple thing can really make
a large difference. Many lawyers have one or two
specialties and then do other things as well. If you find
one that specializes in your needs, say traffic violations
or divorce, you are likely to be able to count on them to
know more about how to handle your case than someone who
specializes in business proposals. To find a lawyer that you can trust, look towards
your local Bar Association for recommendations on someone.
Not everyone has a lawyer on retainer so it helps to know
that someone out there is recommending the one that you are
choosing. If you feel that you can, ask friends and family
about their recommendations as well. Once you find a few names to consider, make sure
that you know about them. You can check on their relevant
experience and their record for cases like yours. While
this will not tell you just whether your lawyer will win
your case or not, it is safe to say that it will give you
some idea of his or her skills nonetheless. Consider how well the lawyer will be dedicated to
your case. You can judge this by what he or she tells you
and by how well they work with you. Will they meet the
deadlines? Do they return your calls? Can you trust them
to be on time for appointments? Ask them how much time they
will devote to your case and how many other cases they are
handling at the time. You need to know their dedication to
your personal needs. Perform an interview with the lawyer. Ask them the
questions that we talked about. But, if at all possible
make it an in person interview. This will help you to feel
out the lawyer. Ask them about how they will handle your
case and what they can do for you to make sure that you win
your battle. An experienced lawyer should be able to tell
you step by step what will happen, when it will happen and
why it happens. Let's face it. We can not all have the best lawyers
out there. It is important to compare retainer fees. While
you may be under the impression that you need the best
lawyer out there, you simply may not be able to afford him
or her. Instead of worrying about this though, consider
instead what the lawyer's record is and how well he can do
his job for the amount of money he will charge you. Lastly, it is important to choose a lawyer that you
trust. While this can be something that many people don't
understand, if you do not feel comfortable with a lawyer,
you shouldn't work with them. It makes sense that you
should be able to talk to them easily and tell them the
who's, the what's, and the why's of your case. You should
be able to provide him with what he needs to know. Trusting
your lawyer will also help you to relax and to relieve some
of your own stress. The perfect lawyer? Is there really one of those out there?
There is that one lawyer that you will be proud to call your
own. When you take the time to make sure that the lawyer
that you have chosen is a good one, you can be sure that
your case, your life is safe and secure in their capable
hands. Lance R. Wilson is an editor at Lawyer-Map.com where you can find

Anyone in the world By Biana Babinsky I met Sue at a recent networking event. She is an author and speaker, and promotes her products by speaking at events and selling her products after the talks. Sue has a web site, whose primary purpose is to sell her products and make more people aware of her expertise. She isn't happy with the web site, though. "I have a great product, but I only had 2 sales in the last twelve months from the site. On the other hand, I can't keep enough inventory on hand for event sales! Something isn't right." So the coach in me had to ask a few questions and offer suggestions. "Tell me," I said, "how do you market your web site?" "Market?" she said. "I don't do much marketing. I have a great product, I am an accomplished author and well-known expert. People should be able to find me and buy from my web site." Many business owners put a web site on the Internet and think that "if you build it, they will come." They, of course, being web customers. You have many potential clients out there, looking for someone with your expertise, looking for your products and services. However, it would be difficult for them to visit your web site and buy from it, if they didn't know it existed. Help your customers find you - create a good Internet marketing campaign to reach your potential customers and make them aware of benefits of hiring you. Here are three main online marketing areas to get you started: * Your Expert Web Site - It should be user friendly, make the benefits of hiring you or buying your products crystal clear, and promote you, your services and your products. Keep adding to your web site content. Write articles of interest to your target market, start a blog, and keep expanding your product line. Fresh content helps you with search engine positioning and keeps your potential customers coming back. Curious how user friendly your web site is? Ask a potential or current customer to evaluate your web site. * Newsletter - It should be highly relevant to your target audience. Publish a newsletter that gives your readers a lot of valuable information, but at the same time leave them hungry for more of your expertise. For example, a professional organizer's newsletter can offer ten tips for getting kids organized for back-to-school, advice which helps the reader while inspiring confidence in the organizer's knowledge and experience. * Networking - Don't forget about networking. Online networking is becoming increasingly prevalent. You can network through many online networking communities, such as Ryze.com, LinkedIn.com Ecademy.com, and many more. Each one has a different focus, feel, and dynamics. Try several and see which one is the right fit for you. Online networking is an excellent way to connect with your target market. When you are selling your services online, your web site is the image you project to the world. Often, it is the first thing your potential customers see before they decide to hire you. Newsletters and networking are there to help you build relationships with your potential customers, and help them learn more about you and your business. Strategic Internet marketing is the combination of user friendly web site, newsletter, networking and other online strategies that you use to market your business effectively. Anyone in the world By Stanley Epstein The older folk among us may remember a song that was popular in the mid-1960s, by Bobby Sherman titled Happiness Is. To quote a key line from the lyrics happiness is different things to different people. And this is my starting point. It is the different things to different people part that is so important, especially when one considers the critical issues that surround the payments industry. Banks have long claimed the right to be the sole interlocutor in the payments world a right that they claim on the strength that they alone legally hold the accounts of individuals from which and to which these payments are made. Traditionally because of this banks have been the sole and arbitrary determinant of what information constitutes a payment. Usually this is the bare minimum to satisfy the banks own operational requirements originating and receiving banks, sender and receiver account numbers, the currency and amount and the briefest of reference information. Payment information works for banks, but does it really work for any other participants in the payments chain? The answer is an emphatic NO! Different players in the payments chain need and would like to receive other payments related information. The ability to achieve real STP (Straight Through Processing) can lead to greater efficiencies in terms of operating procedures, processing times, fewer errors etc., etc. In short greater efficiency leads to reduced costs and reduced costs spell increased profits. And this applies to customer and banks alike. Broadly speaking there are four users of payments related information and they all would like to see different types of information that will assist in their own quest for efficiency. Customers - To customers a payment is a small (but very important) part of the business chain. Customers are seeking detailed information that relates to its relationship with its own customers and with its suppliers. Single payments may involve hundreds or even thousands of different transactions such as invoices, credit and debit notes, returns, adjustments and so on. Accurate details of each of these are vital to the record keeping and the business operations. Banks - Banks are account keepers and because they hold accounts or their clients payments and payment systems are the natural vehicles for moving funds from one account to another. Who pays, who receives, when and where, what currency and how settlement will be effected and of course the customer details too. Clearinghouses - Clearinghouses are the distributors of payments on a mass scale. Recent years have seen the rapid development and deployment of many different payment mechanisms. Often these allow for direct input by the customer against his banks authority and the customer still has to find another way to pass on all that vital information that he so desperately needs. Banking authorities - Events in recent years have forced the regulators to take a much closer look at what payments flow where in the banking world. Either the regulator himself wants the information directly or he has made it obligatory on the banks to record, monitor and retain certain details that relate to payments such as AML (anti-Money Laundering) requirements. The following brief description summarizes the parties from the payer to the beneficiary including all the intermediaries who have an interest (and of course need information) on a typical payment being made through an RTGS system. Against each party I have briefly indicated what information they need to know. Sending Bank (1) Which bank is it going to, (2) the amount, and name of the paying customer, (3) name and account details of the receiving customer. At the end of the process they may want to also receive a confirmation that the payment was made. RTGS system (1) Which bank is sending, (2) which bank is receiving, (3) the amount, (4) the transaction type. Receiving Bank (1) Which bank sent the payment, (2) the amount, (3) name and account details of the receiving customer, (4) transaction type, (5) settlement confirmation from the RTGS system. Payee (1) The amount, (2) the name of the payee, (3) payers reference data, (4) beneficiary references such as invoice numbers, payment amendments such as credit notes etc. Payer (1) Confirmation that the payment was made and (2) the date on which this occurred. And this is just the basics! It should be clear that payments mean different things to different people. Ah well... those 60s... "To a preacher it's a prayer, prayer, prayer,
To the Beatles it's a yeah, yeah, yeah,
To a banker lots and lots of dough,
To a racer a GTO.
Happiness is, happiness is, happiness is,
different things to different people,
That's what happiness is." Anyone in the world By Jonathan Blocker Mother's Day is fast approaching, and now is the time to spend a moment thinking about all that your mother has done for you. In remembrance of all that, be sure to give her a great Mother's Day gift to say thank you. Of all the Mother's Day gifts your mother could wish for, the best one is your gift of love. Everyone has a mother, and our favorite pets and animals are no exception. One Mother's day story that is particularly meaningful takes place on a little farm on a faraway island. The farmer raised sheep, and every spring they gave birth to their little lambs. One special ewe was named Ma. Ma was an old ewe, and had been a favorite of the farmer for several years. On this particular year, Ma was likely to give birth to three or even four lambs, as was her custom. She wouldn't eat, and was nervously pawing the stable bedding, so the farmer know that the birth was eminent. He put her in a private small stall, made sure she was comfortable, and then went inside for his dinner. While he was away, Ma gave birth. There were complications, and by the time the farmer returned, two of the lambs were dead, but a third was on the way. Eventually, a final lamb was born. A tiny ram lamb, a wispy little thing. Too little to stay out in the cold, the farmer whisked him away to the warmest room of his home, where he put him in a box that was lined with the softest towel he owned. The farmer checked on the little lamb throughout the night. By morning, the lamb was hungry and ready to return to Ma. But alas, during the course of the night the farmer's beloved Ma had died. The tiny lamb was now an orphan. Try as the farmer might, over the next few days he tried to get some of his other ewes who had recently given birth to adopt the little lamb, but to no avail. He would get butted away, and he was sad. So, the farmer named him Boubouki, which is Greek for "Rosebud," and gave him four bottles of milk everyday. He grew big and strong. At the start, he lived in the house, and in the evening the farmer would let him lay on his lap while he listened to the radio. Boubouki was fond of jazz, the farmer discovered. Eventually Boubouki became the ram for the herd. In this way Ma continued to live on, through her son. The farmer often thought of Ma when he looked at Boubouki, and he thanked her for giving him the best ram he ever had. Jonathan Blocker is an avid business and travel writer. Anyone in the world By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Skip_Freedman] Skip Freedman In today's competitive health care environment, third party administrators (TPAs) turn to Independent Review Organizations (IROs) to assure fast and cost effective claims decision making on the most expensive and complex treatments for the patients they are administering benefits to. Third party administrators lack fundamental medical decision making thats required to successfully administer health care benefits. Many TPAs have a part-time medical director. The director may be part time or come into the office for an hour or two a week to look at the most difficult treatments. But for TPAs administering patient populations of any size, it's difficult for a part-time medical director to keep up with the workflow necessary to adjudicate claims quickly and cost effectively. In order to solve this problem, many third party administrators are turning to Independent Review Organizations (IROs). TPAs can easily send questionable cases requiring special medical knowledge to their IRO outsourcing partner for speedy decision making, knowing that each member getting fair, objective and unbiased attention. Third party administrators that use IROs get high speed decision making, lower costs for adjudicating complex claims and meeting regulatory compliance for any approval or denial of benefits. Many third party administrators use IROs not only to look at their most complex cases but also to provide fractional medical director services. AllMed has several clients who not only use us to do independent medical reviews but also use our medical director staff to attend regular utilization review meetings and claims adjudication meetings as a part of the TPA staff function.
